Like setting out on a journey, I shape each place so that visitors may set aside the rush of daily life and find their way back to a deep breath. This is the gentle margin of stillness we hope to offer.

- Born in Hiroshima, Japan.
- 1996
- Graduated from Nara College of Arts.
Joined the Environmental Project Planning Institute, engaging in conservation planning for the beech forests of Mt. Izumi Katsuragi, Osaka Prefecture.
- 1998
- Returned to study architecture at the Kyoto Prefectural Technical College.
- 2001
- Mastered traditional hand-carving techniques for wooden architecture under a 70-year-old master carpenter.
- 2005
- Acquired Second-Class Architect certification (Nikyū Kenchikushi).
- 2006
- Joined Okita Home Co., Ltd., engaging in the design and construction of custom-built homes.
- 2021
- Received the Good Design Award as the product designer for "Fuga-Yamamoto: Detached Housing with Term-Limited Land Lease".
- 2023
- Began working under the artist name "Karakusa." Moving fluidly like the wind without a fixed base, I continues to explore the intersection between plants and humans through diverse approaches—including the "Wandering Tea House" pop-ups, crafting original botanical tea blends imbued with the memories of plants, and curating antique tea utensils as a licensed antique dealer.
